There was a delay when I pushed the buttons when playing super smash bros brawl.

It took a few seconds for it to react on my tv

after reading this comment in the shopping discussion, I thought to bring it up as I already have a pair of classic controllers, and PRAY TO GOD THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE >:(

anybody have experience first hand? was it just his controller that was defective or do all classic controllers suffer from this delay of command as well (for SSBB, specifically)?

What about wavebirds? I don't own one, but I'm currently borrowing one off a friend...I really don't like the ergonomics of it, I do prefer the YBXA button configuration...played SNES a lot, didn't play any games for the GCN. How does the wavebird (heck, even the classic wired GCN controller) perform? Is it much superior to the wii controllers?

any and all discussion about controllers for SSBB invited and appreciated. Thanks!

Have been using the Classic control for SSBB and haven't encounter any issues whatsoever- no delays of any kind.

That's online only and depends on both players' connection.

Apparently GC controller is superior (according to MY friends). I never had a GC so I tried out using my classic controller, seems just find. Heard the wiimote/chuck combo works OK too, just a little more awkward.

whats your buttons setup for wiimote/chuk? I'm planning on:

A, B = attack
Z = jump
C = shield
- (minus) = grab
