I hate Cogeco but have no choice but to be with them.. i hate Oakville for that. I am paying $200 a month for phone, cable, and internet which to me is insane but they aren't willing to do anything on price as they know your screwed they don't care. I love Oakville, just don't get why we got screwed with Cogeco. I live in a Condo Townhouse and they aren't huge fans of Satellites.

We're on cogeco for internet and phone only. We pay $80 for both monthly.
I believe that Rogers is available to you as well....isn't it?

Some of you may remember about ten years ago when the suits at COGECO started playing a little games with us. That game is “Change the customers’ billing date and see if we get caught!”
The method: your bill will have a different due date than the one you have been paying on for X number of years. In my case I’ve been making my “monthly” payments on the 1st of every month. Last month that changed to the 28th. Hey, but it was February and I wasn’t paying attention (all con artists and scammers rely on how much attention we pay to a given set of circumstances.) So I paid it. This month, March, also had a billing date of the 28th. Not only has my due date been changed my “monthly” payment is now 28 days and not a month which amounts to a 10% increase in costs to me (there are 13 28 day cycles in a year and, as you know only 12 months). Funny how the amount didn’t change….oh yeah, since I was now 3 days late making my payment they will now send me a $3 late fee for next month that may or may not have another due date change.
As I said, they pulled this crap around ten years ago and the complaints to the CRTC about these sleazy tactics grew. Eventually they had to go back to the previous Monthly billing and drop their attempts at “STREALING” money from their customers.
Don’t these weasels understand that everyone on the entire planet, including most of the pricks who are doing this, are angry and fed up with the suits, banks and MBAs stealing from everyone. The old days of corporate theft are over - live with it.
So write out your complaint to the CRTC and kick these jackasses where it hurts. Do not pay any additional charges because you will never see it again. NO MORE CORPORATE THEFT!
