Big Jack Johnson fan here. Can anyone suggest an artist/artists who are similar? (easy listening, acoustic sound etc)
Cheers

While not entirely similar, check out Jeff Buckley (http://www.amazon.ca/Grace-Jeff-Buckley/dp/B0000029DD/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1205780484&sr=8-1). One of the greatest albums of the 90s, and unfortunately the only one officially released before his untimely death.

James Taylor certainly comes to mind.
Howie Day is somewhat similar, as is Amos Lee.

Matt Costa for sure. He's a good friend of Jack's and is even signed to his record label.
Check out a song called "Cold December," great song

I love Jeff Buckley but he's not in the same genre as JJ. Buckley for can hit 3 octaves easily... JJ barely even uses his falsetto.

I second this recommendation.
Astair and Oh Dear are 2 other songs I'd say you should check out by Matt Costa.
As for another artist, Sufjan Stevens. Chicago is his most popular song.
