I know but the only way would be to read through a lot of it. The way I did this was instructed notepad to replace a certain word with the same word plus the RFD formatting.

Anyway an RFD effort to just comment on the codes you've tried and I'll go back and edit what works/doesn't work from your replies.

where did you call? any phone number? I tried CTHANKS50 and it's show rebate 50$ but when i proceed the order I got this msg "This redemption code can't be used with this PayPal account." :evil: What did you say to the customer service at paypal to save the 50$ ?

Great effort but none of these work. Many are expired, the rest are only meant for specific account. If a coupon is applicable to your account, paypal will let you know. Otherwise do not waste your time. :)

The one code with the word "WORKS" is the only confirmed working one. The rest are unconfirmed. That's what it means.

I expected each visitor to try at least 1 code to see if it works and report back here with status so that I can update the codes. I don't know which ones are expired, sometimes users from a different site said it was expired even though users after that had success.

If you're having trouble the best thing to do is call paypal for help. Some coupon codes they deactivated or require your email be registered to the coupon code in order to use it. If paypal refuses to help then there's isn't much I can do beyond that. The codes here are just what I found and only the ones with the word "WORKS" preceeding it are confirmed still working. The rest are untested.

You could buy a small cost item and test it using that. I've confirmed that the method I've posted does work! Woo hoo! You enter the code and apply it, hit continue to go to the next page, and it should tell you whether it's accepted or not. Previously before I linked my ebaY account to Paypal, it kept giving me the error about not being linked to Paypal. Now it works!

I'm having the same prob with the code. The accounts are definitely linked but I'm getting the error msg at Paypal. I read somewhere that this code doesn't work with BIN (buy it now) items. Don't know whether this is accurate info or not. Was your purchase BIN? Mine is so I'm thinking that's why it isn't working.

I'm not giving up just yet. Seeing if I can spot the ad for the promotion on the site so I can click and use the code that way.

No, my items weren't buy it now. After linking the accounts, it did get me a page further, but at the final payment stage it crapped out and said the coupon was linked to another Paypal account so no luck here. I even tried logging in through Ebay.COM instead of .CA, but nope that didn't do anything different. Some people are having luck with it though after searching the net. I don't know if it's just the people in the States maybe that can use the code?

When they mean "This coupon code is assigned to another PayPal account", they mean it.

I talked to a eBay Live Help CSR and he told me that the coupons are site-wide but only assigned to certain people to use. This is based on random lottery whereas you might get an email in your name to have a coupon.

Everytime I think a coupon goes through, the stage after signing into Paypal denies my code.

Does anyone know if you can use the coupon to discount the total value of several items purchased from the same seller as long as you check out and pay all together?

This is a bit of a late reply, but the coupon only discounts the highest value item in a list of items from one seller. So if you bought an item for $100, one for $50, and one for $25 all from one seller, it would give you the discount on the $100 item only.

*note* just because a coupon code is accepted during check out in ebay.ca does NOT mean it will work once you go into paypal...

I tried using one this morning and it didn't work. Upon further inquiry, it seems that the coupons are only valid when applied to the e-mail that it was sent to.
I guess paypal has a better system than everyone else.

Tried both. Both said something about the coupons not being linked to my paypal account. For the 2nd one, yes, you can use it for each item purchased, if paypal accepts the coupon at all.

Someone commented on retailmenot, though I have the faintest idea what he was talking about. I tried switching back to yahoo from gmail but that didn't work.

This definitely works, but you have to make sure you are linked to the correct Paypal account - whichever email account you initially enrolled your Paypal under is the only account that this code will work under.

wat happened to back in the day when paypal/ebay used to come out with coupons for all customers right around xmas shopping time to encourage xmas shopping on ebay? i remember a few year ago, they'd have 2 coupons, both "save $xx when you spend $xx/xxx", and they ran it for 2 years in a row if i remmeber correctly....funny how things change so quickly...ebay/paypal has gotten too greedy as a company

Ebay and Paypal codes are different. First off the majority of codes come from the merchant themself and you enter those coupon codes during the merchant site checkout. There are some codes that paypal has also. I havn't seen any direct from paypal codes that you enter in the paypal account screen but most of the codes that come directly from paypal are promotional for a specific merchant and you're required to enter these too on the merchant checkout screen.

Anyway I'm going to spend a couple hundred and need some codes too.

I gave up, searched for 2 days online hoping to find a 15%-25% off or even a flat $100 off and besides what you posted just above all I found was C-Valentin 10% off which appeared to work on the ebay checkout screen, as usual. When I tried to actually pay after logging in with my paypal account and the code was denied because it's apparently not registered to my paypal account.
