If so, I'm wondering how many discs your package came with? Thanks!

I believe its only 1 disc and only offers one special feature which is a documentary from cast and crew of the movie talking about the film.

I have the Hong Kong 2 disc set with the following specifications. I bought it way back in December.
Disc 1
- Anamorphic widescreen 16:9
- Mandarin DTS-ES/DD-EX
- Chinese subtitles only
Disc 2
- trailers
- tv spots
- photo and merchandises gallery
- cast/crew filmographies
- cast/crew interviews
- behind the scenes
I don't mind the fact that there are no English subs. I wanted it with Chinese subs anyway. The English subs gave me a headache when I saw it in theatres. Some bad translation at certain spots. ("Mak Tai Tai", anyone?)

I know it's not the uncut edition.

Another thread in theimportforums.com has more info on the mainland release.

Thanks for the information. Do you know if the U.S release is the unedited version as well? I have watched it in the theaters already, but my Mandarin isn't good enough to just watch the movie without English subtitles.

There will be an R rated version and a NC-17 unedited cut of the movie available on DVD.

What are the differences? I want the exact version that I saw in the theaters. I don't want any editing whatsoever.

Wrong!
The uncut version never showed any penis.
It showed his testicles flopping up and down.

LOL
Only for 5 seconds or so.
There's probably other sex scenes cut out as well like some nipple shots etc.
Pretty interesting movie. I did find it a tad too long though.

Actually, "tai tai" is a *known* term in English. It's not like "Mrs. Mak" is a "better" translation. If you ask me, they should DEFINITELY keep "Mak Tai Tai".
