So i realize I really need to take control of organizing my closet and my wardrobe.

what i have currently is: a closet with sliding doors, a horizontal tube, another horizontal tube near the ceiling, (stupidest idea ever, too tall to reach...). and there is a border in between.

I think the current design is a total waste of space and I would love to get some ideas on how to re-work this space i have. maybe a closet organizer? any suggestions? and how do you guys deal with season change??

i am a guy btw, the wardrobe i have consist of dress shirts, 4 suits, a few jackets, a few pair of shoes (sports/dress/casual), a few pairs of jeans and other pants, some shirts, a dozen ties, some sleepwear, socks and boxers.

We bought a complete closet organizer set from Ikea. You buy the outer "frame" and then add whatever types of organizers you want. You can choose from things like hanger bars, pull-out shelves, standard shelves, etc. I believe it's called the Pax series. We bought a 3 fully-outfitted units (10' feet long or so) for about $1k. It's much cheaper than getting custom units from companies like Kwik Closet.

Go to Ikea with measurements in hand, and go to town. When you're done, go enjoy some cheapo meatballs. All Ikea needs now is a grocery department.

if you're handy, build something urself its really not that hard. couple of L brackets, boards and 2 shorter hanging bars. you can have half of ur closet have double hanging bars and the other half shelves.

Rubbermaid has some good deals that can be found cheaper than Ikea if you look hard enough:

.....and find out half of the items you need are out of stock (that's what happened to me when I tried to pick up the ANTONIUS system) and no one there knows when they will have new stock.

Back to the drawing board. >:(
