As stated in the title, im looking for a new dentist, one who is honest about the pricing (won't rip you off with outrageous prices or hidden fee's) and is overall kinda friendly?

thx in advance. Hard to find good one nowadays

I happily recommend:
Dr Allan Reiss
3 Irwin Avenue
Toronto, ON M4Y 1L1
(416) 967-3611

Very gentle, not pushy, doesn't do unnecessary procedures, can work out payment plans.
Reimburses subway tokens/parking too I believe.

I go to Dr. Kevin Brown in Markham. There are two dentists and a bunch of hygenists. Everyone in the office is very friendly. I also like the fact that they're pretty technologically current. They have a machine that's like a CNC machine that cuts crowns for a perfect fit onto your existing tooth. They also have this sandblaster-type machine that blows decay away with no pain instead of using a drill (always hated the sound, taste, and feel of the drill).

Pricing is straight-forward and honest. If you need something more than a basic cleaning, they have an office manager that explains the procedure and pricing beforehand. They also worked out a payment plan for me when I needed to get something done. I've been going there for over 15 years and not a single complaint.

I wouldn't cheap on dentistry, or anything health related for that matter. Search previous threads on my rant after saving 10% off dental cleaning because I was a cheap student and got suckered into using the stupid student dental network. Worst mistake ever!

My dentist, the nicest and most careful dentist you'll find :

Dr. Angela Tam
7368 Yonge Street, Suite 108
Thornhill, Ontario L4J8H9
905-889-5723

Located at Yonge/Clark in Thornhill. I think she's always fully booked though these days. Probably a sign of a good dentist.

I'd like to do a pre-emptive strike here. Do not go to Accolade Dental Center at Yonge & Bloor. The guy does everything and I mean everything he can to milk your insurance plan.

I want to stop going to the dental clinic in the lower level of Market Village, beside the computer store.

Every time I go for my 6 month cleaning, I meet a new hygienist. They always push for x-rays, even though my insurance plan covers it, I refuse since I do not want to be exposed to unnecessary x-rays to look for cavities.
