Student looking to switch from Rogers pay as you go to contract

My 14 yr old pays for his own phone and wants to switch from pay as you go with Rogers to a contract. Any ideas of student deals anywhere that I could use to "negotiate" for him with Rogers. He has a great phone and so he just needs a plan with minutes and the text messaging mostly (not long distance etc).

I'm willing to take in plan info. from Virgin or Telus or whatever to price match if I can.

Any help would be appreciated!!:)
