Canon 7.1MP elph powershot

I'm looking to purchase this camera. Is this a good camera?
Which place in Toronto is selling this for the best price?

Just looking for a compact, for vacation and travelling camera, that at least has a video mode too. Is this a new release model; if not when does Canon release there new models.

I think it is the k1000 or somewhere along those lines. I think Futureshop is selling it for $179.99. Just wondering if that is a good general use camera.
I like the compact size but was wondering if there is something better in the price range of $175.00-$200.

SD1000? Good if size is important to you. Snappy performance, well-built (made in Japan), and pleasing images out of the box with minimal intervention. It's a pretty good deal at $180.
