Hi,
I'm looking to get a flexible portable internet.
Is it only available thru Rogers in Ontario?
I checked on their site and they have 2 plans : basic with 28$/month, and normal with $50/month.
Is there anything cheaper b/c i only use it for email mostly?
Thx

Are you refering to the service with the portable modem? If so, Bell has it also (And maybe Fido too). The thing to warn you about is that it isn't all that portable! The model is pretty big and the adapter is one of those huge ones that takes up a couple of spots on a power bar. If you are using it mainly for e-mail I would suggest looking at a e-mail plan for cell phone and maybe changing your cell phone to one with a keyboard.

Yeah. I saw the picture from Rogers.com and it's not an air card ( pcmcia size )
Just like a small notebook.
The problem is the speed is kinda slow atm ( a bit faster than isdn, 256 kbit ) and i have to "purchase" the modem which cost ~$100 to be able to use it. There's no rental option for portable internet.

It looks like Bell Canada cost even more for this kind of service.
I do everything on my laptop so ( email and some light web surfing... ) so cell phone internet access may be less convenient.
