Call this number to identify a pothole on the streets of Toronto. When you call, say "POTHOLE" at the voice prompts and it will transfer you accordingly.

That's not Toronto's problem, it's the Town of Markham. Call the roads office to report potholes in Markham.

Some stretches of roads in Toronto are just hopeless...

Especially when I heard on the news that our road budget is almost maxed out and its just the beginning of the year.

That is typical for the snow clearing and snow removal budget to to be 65-70% used by the end of March, with the balance used from mid November to the end of December.

Remember, construction season in TO doesn't start until the snow is gone, and there is a seperate budget amount for road repairs/maintenance, the same as there is for the mayor and councillor's offices.

They can't really fix the potholes until there is hot asphalt available when the asphalt plants reopen after the winter. They can use that cold patch material as a temporary fix but it washes out when the spring thaw and rain comes.

To report potholes, send exact location & description to:

clerk@toronto.ca -> GTA (except for 400 series highways)

mtoinfo@ontario.ca and csinisa@toronto.ca -> 400 series highways & outside GTA

I reported a couple of large potholes on Hwy 27 Northbound and they got filled in a few days! :cheesygri

From the other thread.
