Prices probably vary a great deal.

With a chain or franchise operation, there would probably be less flexibility in price regardless of you having your own tint, so I would look up independent trim shops. Off the top of my head I think there's one in the Dufferin-Glencairn area on west tside (Enco, or something licke that) and one place on College & Ontario (between Parliament & Sherbourne, next to the beer store) There are also a few customization shops in the Steelecase & John area of Markham but they look a bit pricey.

do you know if you have quality tint on hand, or some ebay orders? tint jobs are one of those things that come back to haunt you, if you cheaped out

how much did you expect to save from the tint job if you brought in your own tint? $40-60??? highly unlikely
a whole tint job is only roughly $200. i doubt the materials cost these tint places anywhere close to $40. so the rest is labour

and many places wont even bother to do the work for you because of the hassle involved, crappy tints leads to crappy results. you'll find many places are not going to warranty their work if you brought in your own materials, because bubbling, fading and peeling are likely from the quality of the tint.

imo, i'll pay whatever the going price is for a whole tint job, $200, let the shop use their tints, get a warranty and sleep knowing i have one less thing to worry about.

I had a friend do well with this if anybody was ever inclined to give it a shot themselves. He bought good tint, clear dishsoap, and a squeege.

1. Coat the window in soap, 100% of it.
2. Apply tint, slide tint around so it fits correct
3. apply the squeege to the tint at the center of window, and squeege the soap out toward the edges. Once there is no soap between the window and tint it is permanent so you are not moving it
4. Slow down when you are getting to the edges, work from the center out else you will get pleats in it.

Ended up with a few edge problems and the exacto knife was brought out as some point; however he claimed he was rushing the job. It had zero bubbles after a year and looked like a pro job.

I got mine for $200 at audioheaven. Other goodp laces are thornhill tints and FX Auto. Don't go to Tint King. Horror stories.
