I'm sure if you checked playstation.ca you can get the phone number and they also have a support section.

When I've had problems in the past with my PS3 (usually after I've left it off for a couple of days with a DVD in it; it won't turn on and the disc won't eject), cycling the power by completely unplugging it for more than ~30 seconds solves it.
Best guess is that at some point its internal state gets messed up, and it gets stuck in a loop or transitions to some exception state. Hopefully they fix it with a firmware upgrade.

I've always had a disc in my 20GB PS3 and I've never had issues ejecting anything (game, BR movie or DVD movie). How old are your PS3s for those having this problem?

I've had a similar problem. Everytime I tried to turn on the system, it's shut down a second later and the disc would be stuck. Luckily, called Sony and they shipped me a box and I got a new one days later. Problem is, they will require purchase information, so make sure you have some type of proof of purchase.

Mine is a 60GB that I bought on July 11th.
However, I usually leave my PS3 off for long stretches of time (sometimes weeks). I've only run into the problem twice, and it was after it was off for over a week with a DVD in it. I haven't run into the problem with BR discs.

That really sucks. I hope they fix this issue when I get my PS3.

I don't think it's something that needs fixing though since it affects a tiny minority of PS3 users. Probably just needs better QA.
