Now before I go and do this i got to say im really torn... I love the wii but honestly the lack of games that dont have a Nintendo Stamp on them that dont suck is pretty low. I dont have any interest in brawl, Mario kart does interest me though and so does some of the wiiware stuff but honestly i dont know when we will get that stuff for sure. (if you do know please post). Does anyone know what i could get for this wii bundle?

Wii
Compoent cables
3 controllers with nunchuks
Wii zapper
Classic controller
1-2 GC controllers
GC memory card
3500 wii points still on it (might be a touch less)
about 25 VC games i think, might be less
Umbrella chronicles
SMG
MP3
Zelda
Endless Ocean
Excite Truck
GodFather
WarioWare
Wii sports (obviously)
Wii Play
Super Paper Mario

There is also a few GC games.
Paper mario: thousand year door
Couple other games i cant remember

What about Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles?

You know you're going to want your Wii in August when Star Wars: The Force Unleashed comes out.

Yeah FF does look good but the list of games i want is getting pretty short is all. Also on an interesting side note about force unleashed its possible the wii version will be the best version content wise

My guess is that your 25~ VC games will have significantly less value to a potential purchaser than what you paid for them. You spent anywhere from $125-$250 (at least, depending on where you bought your points) on VC games alone, on titles I can only assume have some sentimental retro appeal (or not ^^;; ). Unless you're strapped for cash, in which case disregard my post, I would just hang on to the system based on this alone.

But that's just me... I still regret having given my SNES (w/ Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and some other absolutely fantastic classics) away back in the day. It fetched some paltry sum at a charity garage sale. =.=

Yes, because of the Wiimote, I read that there will be some extra levels not on the 360 or PS3. The main thing is going to be heads-up Lightsaber battles with your friends!!!! I don't even care if the game is so-so, I just want to chop my friends limbs off.

My list is pretty short now.

NEED to get: SSBB, Deca Sports, SW:Force Unleashed, Resident Evil 5, NBA Live 09 (hopefully they worked out the game play over 08)

Wouldn't mind getting: FF:CC, House of the Dead 2/3, Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, No More Heroes

That's pretty much over 08. I'm happy with that list for the year.

Yeah im totally not strapped for cash at all, im just unsure if I want to keep something around I dont use much. I guess ill wait till after wiiware comes. BTW has anyone noticed that the VC games have become crappier and crappier and fewer and fewer?

Can someone help me understand the appeal of Brawl? Is the appeal all in multiplayer? I have played it for about an hour in single player mode and I just don't see how it is getting such high reviews unless it's because of the multiplayer mode. It definitely is not one of the best games I have played from my time with it. Based on single player mode SMG blows this game away.

And OP just for the record I am in the same boat as you, but am keeping the Wii for now until Wiifit comes out.

I had a Wii during the summer, and sold it after a couple of months.
Sure it's fun when you have a bunch of people over, but for single player/online play it pales in comparison to my 360 baby.

Sell it!

(Yes, I know this post was completely uninformative.)

Smash Brothers has always been about the multiplayer. You either need to get a bunch of friends over and start playing, or get online and play. Forget about the single player.

I've only played the n64 version, which I owned back in the day, and don't own a gamecube/wii, but Smash Brothers was one of my favourite games. It just doens't get tiring.

And yes, again, its all about the multiplayer. Give it a shot online, play a few times, and I'm sure you'll like it a lot more.

I was also thinking of selling my Wii, but decided not to, its great for when friends and relatives come over.

I still have to pick up Smash Bros Brawl (didn't have time to get it).

Yeah it's only fun if you have like 8 people over and you're screaming and yelling and throwing potatoe chips at the screen because Solid Snake has Mario in a stranglehold and is bloodying him up like nobody's business. If you're just playing by yourself, it gets a lot harder to laugh about it. Although I swear that sometimes simply having the pleasure of kicking the living crap out of all those freakishly cute nintendo mascots is worth the price of admission alone.
