are used cars cheaper in winter than in summer? same model,mileage etc

Some cars yes, others, no.

A RWD sports car (Mustang, 350Z, Corvette, etc.) won't attract much interest in the winter and therefore either the asking price will drop, or the person will choose not to sell until the warmer months.

it's a hit and miss.

it really depends on the car..

but generally speaking... it is the best time to negotiate/lowball a deal.

fuel efficient cars and diesels like vw sky rocket in summer months when gas prices go up.

if ur looking for a good price, here's a list of things i recommend

1.travel further away to dealerships where there may not be a lot of volume (for example, instead of going to markham , go to like newmarket dealership or something)

2.Go during the last week of the month, as salesman may not have met their quota yet and could be desperate for a sale, remember at this point, your probably in control so if u say "price is high, im going to look around" they may budge more then usual for you.

3. If not, head over to the states and pick up a car from there :D
