Was at the Oakville Toys R Us today.
Cars Characters are 1/2 price. Reg. $3.99 on for $1.97.
They had 3 bins: one by the aisle where they are regularly kept, one by the cash, and one just before you exit the store.
There's a limit of 6 per family.
Sale is on from Saturday, March 1st to Friday, March 7th.
Good luck everyone!

It's time to go and stock up on the Sally's, Green Ramone's and Hamm's.
Probably won't find anything that new there, but you might....

Went to the Mississauga one. Hubby took 6 to the cash, I took 6. They are for my daughter's 4th birthday in July. And will be from my parents. My mom doesn't like shopping and my dad pretends shopping doesn't exist.
My daughter already had a McQueen and I think Nitrade (SP?) racing car.
We picked up
Boost
Doc Hudson (normal one)
Doc Hudson Fabulous Hudson Hornet
Dirt Track McQueen
Dinoco McQueen
Wingo
RPM #64
Ramone (purple with flames, there were about 4 different Ramones and LOTS)
Tex Dinoco
Ferrari F430 (couldn't help it, so funny a 4 year old will have a Ferrari!:) )
Mater- Brand New Mater (couldn't find the brown one so got the blue one)
Sally (my daughter will be thrilled)
I'm going to keep an eye out for sales on any of their race tracks for her birthday.

I've been twice to stockpile for b-day's and easter coming up!! My little guy is CAR CRAZZZZZEEEEEE!! I have a favour to ask from people I need the original green chick hicks and DJ....those are the two that I went through three bins to try and find and couldn't find either of them...man oh man...oh and just a piece of advice if anybody comes across the dale jr car just buy it....it's a collector's item and is going for like $40.....one of the cruizin lightening's is also what's the term "ultra rare". I'm not a collector just found this stuff out while researching to try and find Chick and DJ. I will pay for shipping or will meet up with you....Thanks for the keen eyes...anybody have any specifics that they need? also has anybody heard if they are getting another shipment before Friday?

They are bigger than hotwheels. They are character cars from the Disney "Cars" movie. They are well made since my 3.5 daughter hasn't killed her McQueen yet and this is from the girl who can get Barbie heads off. :)

Just found out my daughter has one of the "rare" Lightining McQueens. Which is funny because when we were hunting for one it was the ONLY McQueen we could find at Wal-Mart and I mean there was only one left too.

I believe these are actually little plastic figurines vs. the diecast cars. I was just in Disneyland and these lappear to match what I saw there.
I managed to pick up a Rusty and Dusty 2pack when a nice cast member offered to go check the storeroom when he saw me looking through available stock =)
On another note, TRU Victoria had about 1/2 bin full this afternoon with about 80% of them being yellow ramone.

Dammit now I gotta stock up.
I've been holding off on getting these because I couldn't justify the $4 but now I am going to see if I can get the entire set ;)

we have a whackload of these and they're very well made and durable. mattel just seems to come out with a new set of models every so often. wish we had the sarge one (lead paint issue and got pulled).
you can get walmart or zellers to PM as well in case they have models you need.

My son has almost all of these, and occasionally he asks if we can get Sarge (which is no longer available due to lead paint issue). I told him that Sarge got sent back to the army.
Although I agree that these metal toys are pretty durable, I have found that the paint/enamel tends to chip very easily on each and every one of them. Well, at the least it does the way my son plays with them.
For the previous poster who was looking for Fillmore, my wife found him last week at the Toys R Us in Thornhill at Steeles & Hilda.

Crap that sucks - I did not see the "Hand painted PVC" and probably too late for me to cancel order. I wanted to start a collection which I will setup in a display. got 2 boys and this obviously did not fly so had to buy them a few to keep the peace. They can enjoy theses plastic ones then.
Thanks for pointing it out - the search continues...
