I've found some 3ft usb extender (male to female) at dollarstore around the west end of Mississauga. You can find other cables such as headphone extensions, ethernet cables, tv cables, s-video cables etc. It's insane how much futureshop, Bestbuy, The source charges for these cables.

I've bought some at "Unlimited Bargains" (used to be called the 95 cent store at some point) at Malvern Town Center, if its in your area,
They were not $1.00, but $1.95 or $2.95.

I love PhD pens. I think they may be the older model. The ones I have at work are a different design (more plastic). I have been using the ones pictured at home for years.
Thick pens cause less hand fatigue from gripping. Great for students. If you suffer from repetitive strain injuries, these pens make writing easier. FYI today Feb. 29th is Repetitive Strain Injury Awareness Day.
Thanks OP. Tomorrow I will be off to Dollarama to stock up on pens. At this price, it is cheaper than buying the refills.

The triangular base makes it very comfortable and the ink is really smooth.
The one I have and the photo are made by Sanford. Paper Mate either bought or merged with Sanford and now sell this pen as a Paper Mate.

another thing I saw there recently which I had never noticed before so I assume it's new is address labels. They sell for more than 10$ a pack at staples. They are the ones that are APPROX 1"x2" (i.e. can be used as big return address labels, or small address labels)

Don't forget it's a great place to pick up microfiber clothes that usually sell for like $5 each anywhere else.

Agreed. Some of the food and candy is sketchy and probably contain some banned dyes or substances. Actually, the Coca-Cola products in the fridge are safe to drink because they actually get delivered by Coca-Cola and they have actual expiry dates on them.

But if you do tons of writing check out the Sensa pens.
They are not cheap, but the part you grip has "liquid silicone" in in so if you happen to grip your pen too hard or do tons of writing your fingers will not hurt.
It is all I use for doing lots of writing.
But the cheapest on Ebay is $20+. Grand & Toy sells Sensa pens but they are a ripoff there.

I find those microfiber towels to be of horrible quality. I actually threw mine out. Better ones can be had for much cheaper as well.
I came across EagleOne tire shine at Dollarama a few weeks ago. Not sure if they still have them. Small bottles, but I worked it out and you save about 3-4 dollars buying many small bottles over buying a large bottle from Canadian Tire or something.

For the person who asked about usb extenders / extension cables, the best place that I know of for this, is well, employee discount at BestBuy/FutureShop.
You can get quality cables for 2$-3.50$. "geek squad" brand. The official price for these ranges between 20-35$ ;)
I've used these cables and they do look very robust. I don't work there anymore but it wouldn't bother me to spend 7$ on cables like this (assuming the only alternative was a cheap chinese cable at 4$)

Brown Kraft Packaging Paper Rolls for $1 each (for shipping boxes and stuff on eBay). Staples sells these for $5+ each and they are cheaper, thinner, not as good quality as before. Note not all Dollarama locations have them. The one in Scarborough (near Future Shop & The Brick) and the Richmond Hill one at Bayview/Major Mack do not have them.

Dollarama also carries lamination paper, Not quite as clear as the ones designed for lcd's but close. I put them on the outside of my laptop to protect from scratches and its was practically invisible. I even put them on the screens for my sons DS. One roll did to 2 laptops a DS and a PSP and i still had leftovers. (quality of clarity fluctuated from batch to batch)
They're in the stationary isle and sold in rolls as book protectors.

And the funnest thing is the FS one is probably just a repackaged dollar store one, well hey they have to pay someone to take them out of a big mass purchase box and neatly into a smaller looking pretty one.
I remember in the UK working for a mobile accessories place they would buy in small boxes of 100 hands free headsets, less than 4 pence each (8¢), repackage them and out they pop at over £20 each ($40 well back then more like $50) LOL Now people don't even want the packaging LMAO.

lol, I liked the pencil as well because of the grip. I liked the Sanford Remedy a lot more than PhD though, because it had a big a$$ eraser on it. For $1 you can't really go wrong for the pen. Note it is a really fat pen, so if you want something for small pockets, look elsewhere.

Which Dollarama you got the printer cable? I assume it is USB and I couldn't find any at Dollarama.
I ended up getting a 10ft printer cable ($3) and 6ft extender cable ($2) at some other dollar store forgot the name. They are all USB 2.0 cables.
It is interesting ppl thinks the USB cables in nice package with a brandname on it selling for $15,20,30 at large chains are better than the dollar store ones, but in fact, they are all of same quality pretty much, manufactured in Asian factories for a few cents at cost. ;)

Yeah, but it's only a buck.
I just bought some today - the Dollarama quality is better than the Staples item 471861 in the current flyer and it's $14.99 for 30 sheets with a second package "free".
So 60 sheets cost you $14.99 on super sale at Staples vs $6.00 at Dollarama.
The Dollarama paper is 9.2 mil or 60 lb paper if anyone is interested.

Was at dollarama a couple weekends ago and picked up a white crew neck t-shirt for $1. 100% cotton, made in China. It's a bit thin but still amazing for a dollar. Shrunk significantly in the wash though.

They just restocked the Macleod trail Dollarama with a whole bunch of new stuff.
I took a peek and yes they now carry Holiday luncheon meat.
Other stuff: Foldable portable umbrellas, 8.5x11 plastic magnifying sheets, assorted Canada day goods (flags, stickers, etc.) 9 watt Sunbeam CFL's (equivalent to 40 watt incandescent) and slightly more sturdy gardening tools.
Tons of mosquito repellents, screens, citronella candles and the like too.

The photo paper is awesome. I'm making 8x10 prints that look as good or better than blacks stuff. I bought 20 packs just in case they stop carrying it or change the quality.
