View Full Version : On no 4400 cancelled. Why do they keep cancelling shows without finishing the story?

I just found out that 4400 has been canceled after 4 seasons. This was one of the few shows that I followed and for them to cancel it after 4 seasons is really disappointing. I wished cable companies would at least say ok we're canceling the show but we will be releasing a tv movie to tie up all the loose ends. Or even straight to DVD.

Very sad.

Because BS reality shows like 'moment of truth' and crap like that cost next to nothing to produce...

Also, ratings for primetime shows are now totally skewed, thanks to the advance of PVRs. Few actually watch those shows in their timeslots anymore.

Welcome to the death of good television.

The way season 4 ended seemed like a nice wrap up to the show. It didn't answer all the questions but, it reconciled some pretty major ones.

It has been a few months since I watched season 4 but how did it wrap up the show? I mean sure Tom Baldwin was going to take the promicin but we never found out why the 4400 were sent back. I guess we'll never know :wtc:

This was announced a few months ago along with the Dead Zone being Canceled. Their reason was so they could let "new" shows have a chance. Whatever that means!

They did the same thing with Invasion and Surface. Cancelled good, imaginative shows in favour of silly sitcoms that aren't even funny. There was another really good show starring Ray Liotta called Smith that just left everyone hanging. They had shows already taped yet they don't even air them, they were available for viewing online at least.

I still have to see season 6 of Dead Zone. I have season 1-5 on DVD.

Cool, Dead Zone s5 finally dropped to $16.99. Guess I'll have to pick it up now. The other seasons are $14.99 (at Future Shop).

Season Six is great -- possibly the best season. While there's still stuff unresolved, the last episode does make for a decent series finale.

I wish CBC would show series 2 already! Can't believe the USA gets to see it before us. hmpf!

I watch Doctor Who and Sarah Jane, but never bothered with Torchwood. I don't like Capt Jack(ass).

PS. That Doctor Who Xmas 2007 special with Kylie was great.

I'm still very disappointed

Why did I even bother watching it? Waste of my time.
