I heard from a local camera store salesman, he told me Canon Canada will not be responsible for the camera gears that bought from U.S. Is this true?

As long as it is not a grey market item, Canon will service it. Canon has an international warranty for items distributed by Canon USA.

As goofball said, its an International Warranty. When you go to buy it, just ask to open the box and look at the warranty card, it should say Canon USA Inc and Canon Canada Inc on it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to buy Canon lens from B&H, don't know if there is any International warranty or Canon Canada warranty card inside the box?

I think B&H sells grey market items as well, so be careful. But the ones I've seen are very clearly marked on the page as a grey market or direct import product.
