Question on Citibank credit card's double the warranty feature

If I had bought something at Bestbuy and paid using the credit card for 99.9%of the purchase price but had to use the $0.43 remaining balance on my gift card, will this in any way affect the additional warranty coverage from Citibank?

I haven't picked the item yet and can pay the entire amount using my credit card.

Well technically it will, but in this case it might be an exception, i mean .43 cents is kind of a joke to hassle over.

But in technically terms it does void the warranty since it was not paid in "full" with your Mastercard.

Thanks for the confirmation. I only realized about the .43 cent implication after I ordered the item online. Good thing, I will still have to present my credit card upon pick up.

Nothing on the agreement speaks to voiding of this feature when purchasing items in the US. Will citibank still double the warranty for purchases made in the US?

Has anybody had experience with warranty work for purchases made in the US? I guess it will be fine so long as the original manufacturer's warranty is honored in Canada.

As far as I'm aware it should unless the manufacturer's warranty is only valid in the US which then it would be the equivilant of being sold with "no warranty".
