SoundMAX Audio Question

I've got SoundMAX audio on my P5K Premium and I'm having a bit of trouble finding the settings to allow the my headset (plugged in front) and my speakers (plugged in back) to output audio simultaneously. It gets annoying to have to unplug my headset when I want to use the speakers to blast music. If anyone has a fix please let me know, I've looked through all the audio settings and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

First, you buy this simple 3.5mm audio cable splitter. These can be found in "The Source CC" stores for around $5.

Then, you plug this thing into the FRONT CHANNEL port on your onboard audio backpanel (I think it's the green port).

Next, you plug your headphones into one of the split ends, and your speakers into the other.

If your speakers are greater than 2.1, it will still work. We're just interested in splitting off the front channel sound.

This will ONLY work if you're outputting analog sound. If you're using the digital coax output then you can forget about this idea.

Well there is a fix to this also. I'm trying to remember but look in your manual they might have something, cause i remember having to do this swith my Creative X-Fi. It was either disconnecting a wire (most likely what I did) or something with the drivers. But i'm 90% sure you just need to disconnect a specific wire/module which sets "mute to speaker" when headphones are plugged in.

That's exactly what the OP wants to avoid.

Yeah, I think the easiest way would just pick up one of those splitters. I've seen them at the dollar store before. A very cheap and easy solution.

thanks for the suggestions guys but im pretty sure there is a software fix for it i mean on my older rig it worked perfectly. if i give up trying to find it out i guess i can go the hardware route with that splitter, thanks.
