I wanna get a seperate 1GB stick on top of them and make 3GB in total but was wondering which ones would be worth getting...or is there any im missing?
I use the computer for everything from games to internet but mainly need for work right now and that includes quite the video editing. I currently have 1.5GB of OCZ running so thinking of doubling it(gotta take off what i have and put in 3x1GB sticks). Any input regarding the topic is greatly appriciated.
Ram im looking for is obviously
DDR400-PC3200
Preferred something with a heat spreader and good timings. My current ones are 2-3-2-6

If you want to go with 3GB, you'll want to use 2x1GB sticks and 2x512MB sticks to ensure you're getting dual-channel speeds. Either kit would get the job done, I don't really see any major advatanges to going with the more expensive kit. If you're looking for low latency, I'd recommend the OCZ Plantinum EL kit: http://www.nxsource.com/products/219945/OCZ_Technology/OCZ4002048ELDCPE_K/

Weird thing is my Mobo can only take 3 sticks/3GB Max...dont ask why lol, its the Asus P4S800...when i bought the 2x512mb sticks i thought it supported DualChannel, and then found out "NOPE IT DOESN'T". Im not overly concerned about the timings but the better they are they better is. Im just trying to stay close to the $150 mark for all 3 sticks too though.

Ahh, sorry. In that case, I'd go for the cheaper set for sure. If your system is old to the point where it doesn't use dual channel, it's probably not worth putting a lot of cash in to that system. You're also probably best of getting the 2GB kit and using an existing 512MB stick; you probably won't notice a difference between 3GB and 2.5GB, especially not on a single channel system (it would take awhile to read from / write to all that RAM). Consider that 3GB of DDR is going to run you ~$150, but if you had a newer system that used DDR2, 4GB of DDR2 would be around $60
