I was on Unemployment Insurance for about 6 weeks last year and have been told by someone that UI mails a T-4 receipt and you are supposed to include it in your return. But I haven't received it yet, even though I have received all other T-4's. Is it late or they didn't bother sending it since I was on UI for only 6 weeks?

1. The deadline to issue T-4's is the end of Feb.
2. Yes you should be getting one.

Deadline for them to mail you T slips is end of Feb, so it could be first week of March before you get it. You would probably be getting a T4A or some other letter.

I believe you will get a T4E. Doesn't matter if you were only on for 6 weeks - they will send you one.
If you have other income, you will probably owe tax as they rarely deduct enough tax from EI benefits.

Thanks to all for the responses, I almost went to do my income tax without it.

Did you receive an access code from HRDC? If so, you can get your T4E online so you don't have to wait for the mail to come.
