What lens is that? It doesn't look like the 35-70mm f4... what is it? The pics aren't detailed enough to show. That isn't an OEM Minolta flash either, but it'll work. I'd haggle it down even more, since we're on RFD after all

It's one of the lower end Minolta flashes. The high end one (4000AF) has a movable head and the motorized lens that zooms with the camera. This one has a fixed head and lens, but it does have the focusing light/sensor. The lens is a Minolta, you can see the symbol on the barrel in one frame.
The lens will work on an Alpha, but the flash won't?

Oh, I didn't even look at the front of the flash before dismissing it. Oops. The lens will work on an Alpha. The flash will not, it has no way of metering on a digital sensor - you gotta use it in manual mode. I've got a 4000AF, pretty solid flash.

I don't think the kit lens on a 5000 is a zoom (no zoom ring in photo?). I think it's suppose to be a 50mm f1.8 prime.

Pic 4 looks like the lens has a macro switch. To be honest I would have grabbed it by now.

The focus ring on older Minolta AF lenses is stupidly small. It's there.

for 55 it's a pretty good deal if there's nothing wrong with the lens, camera or flash. the flash is a 2800AF and the lens in a 35-70mm zoom. the flash and lens are woth 55 alone.
the flash probably isn't alpha compatible. can't say whether the lense is or isn't.

The lens if it is indeed the 35-70mm f/4.0 is worth $50+ by itself if it is in good condition... it's known as the "baby Beercan" by many in the Minolta community. It is Alpha compatible. The flash is not.
