Our daughter has switched to GoodStart lately but we find it quite expensive even at Walmart (about 31 dollars a can). Does anyone know where we can find cheaper Goodstart?

Cheaper than Walmart? It won't be easy.

Walmart $31? Did they increase the price?

Zellers/Loblaws etc were selling at $28.99 (730g) if I remember correctly. Get some HBC GC from the GC forum and that may save you a bit. Never found any coupons for GoodStart myself.

If you by any chance go to US shopping, get them there either at Walmart / Target. They were on sale at both of these places a month ago for about $18 (regular price around $19/$20) a can (680g). I checked with Nestle and it's exactly the same formula in US & Canada. Also, no duty or tax on formula at custom/border.

Some friends told me that the cheapest way is to go to Shoppers Drug Mart and ask to buy them by the case/flat. I think it's 9 or 12 cans to a flat. They have a different SKU for buying by the flat and it works out cheaper than the per can price. However, they never advertise the per flat price and they'll need to go to the back to get out a new, cellophane-wrapped flat rather than just get a bunch of cans from the shelf.

I'm also not sure if the flat's price decreases when the individual cans go on sale. Of course, buy the flats when there's some other promo going on (seniors days, $10 gift card when you spend $50, etc.) for additional savings.

Formula is included in this promotion? Great tips, worth to check it out.

BTW, I just noticed that Zellers is now selling GoodStart w/ Omega (730g) for $31.99 and I think they just increased to that price recently.

We were buying it from Costco for $22.99 for the 900g container, this was the regular stuff though, no omega this and that. We get everything there, and they currently have their Kirkland diapers and wipes on sale.

I noticed that both Zellers and Loblaws has the GoodStart with Omega for $31.99 on the flyers and actually only $28.99 in store (at least in Mississauga). Not sure if you'll be able to get $10 off the price for the 1st can (price error? scanner code of practice?).

They have several cans of the Good Start and Good Start 2 at the SDM at Yonge/Finch for $24.99 (I think this is the 700gr one). For some reason though they have "SDM 817" marked on them in black marker, but I checked and they're sealed.

Don't know what it is about the regular stuff, but my kid yakked it up moreso than the Omega stuff. Of course, every child is different.

OP, I suggest checking out the Parent's Choice brand from Walmart and compare it to the GoodStart. If it's the same one they sell at USA Walmart stores, it's made in the USA, comparable to GoodStart, has to meet FDA minimum standards and is half the price.

I go down to the USA regularly and buy 6 cans of formula at a time. Target brand with DHA & ARA @ US$11.xx per 730g can, as opposed to the equivalent GoodStart which is US$24.59 per 730g can. I checked the USA Walmart brand too, and it's the same as the Target brand - content and price. Our kid is just as happy with the Target brand, as with the GoodStart Omega. Of the handful we've tried, the Target one is the only one she likes besides the GoodStart Omega.
