First I have an Excellent condition of the Japanese Release of Wish You Were Here limited edition Columbian Gold Disc here is a right up of the cd

"This a 24-Karat Gold CD. Issued in a standard CD case without a front insert, all housed in a plastic case-folder holding the CD case and also with a foldout poster. Artwork printed in the US with the CD made in Japan. Issued by Columbia on the Master Sound label. A 20-Bit Digital Transfer from the original master tape. It has the Columbia, Legacy, Master Sound and SBM (Super Bit Mapping) Logo's on the rear cover of the CD case.
" "SBM/Super Bit Mapping" is a trademark of Sony Corporation. "Mastersound" and LOGO are trademarks of Sony Music Entertainment Inc." printed on the rear of the plastic case-folder. YES - It actually does sound better than any of the standard issues."

Second I have the Long Box edition of The Wall by MFSL

Quick blurb about MFSL

"UltraDisc CDs were manufactured using a polycarbonate coating bonded with 24 kt. gold, then applied with a vacuum particle deposit ionization plating process. This process produced a smoother, flatter, and cleaner metallic disc that allows a CD player to more easily read and decode the information on the disc. The reason gold was used is because gold oxidizes ten times slower than aluminum, which is what regular commercial CDs are made of. Additionally, gold is more reflective and coats much more evenly than does aluminum. Furthermore, gold CDs are less susceptible to the pinhole-sized errors that can occur on an aluminum CD during the manufacturing process. The UltraDiscs used 16 bit digital data. Unlike regular commercial CDs, UltraDiscs were able to put the full 16 bits of data on the CD, as the CD spec mandated, due to the jitter-free UltraDisc mastering process."

"In 1990, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab released the Pink Floyd album, The Wall, as a limited edition, 24 karat gold, double UltraDisc CD. MFSL manufactured this release only from September 1990 through September 1991. This was the only MFSL CD out of 258 releases that was issued in a limited edition. It was originally released with the CDs packaged in a special cardboard longbox."

"Release Information: Original issue limited edition in a longbox. Mobile Fidelity manufactured this release only from September 1990 through February 1991. Original master recording on 24 karat gold UltraDisc by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. Inside the longbox was a cardboard slip case that encased the two CDs, a foam separator, and a 16-page booklet with lyrics and Scarfe drawings. Each CD was housed in a separate plastic jewel case that featured the lift / lock system for holding the CD. Each CD case had a single pane insert cover."

I will say, and I don't know the seller in any way shape or form, that the sound quality on the MFSL discs is still considerably better than every remaster I've heard to date done by Sony (Columbia) Records.

These are well worth every penny.
