Hi All,
Just came back from Zellers in Metrotown, BC with 6 cans of polyurethane spray paint (reduced from 8.47 to 3.39). Seems like they're clearing out all the spray paints, probably sick of people redecorating the store (not with polyurethane unfortunately).
Might be chain wide.
Cheers,
Tom

Totally new to this. How big is this can? I'm going to paint my room for the first time in my life. I'm wondering I might end up using hundreds of this instead of using 4 or 5 3.87L regular ones?

You need regular liquid paint + brushes (for the corners) & rollers (for the wide open spaces) to paint a room. Spray cans wouldn't cut it I would think. A typical spray can only covers ~12-15 square feet IIRC so you would need ~25 cans to cover the same as a gallon of liquid paint (~350 sq ft). Mucho waste and hassle.
How big is the room you're painting??? 4 or 5 gallons is a LOT of paint. Usually for a normal sized room you would only need 1 gallon of primer and 1 or 2 gallons of colour coat, depending how many coats you're doing (at least 2 coats, more for darker colours).
Of course you should really do the math yourself using the coverage data on the paint cans rather than trusting some random Joe on the Internet.

not to mention that youd probably get poisoned if you tried painting your room with spray paint. Also airborne overspray would get EVERYWHERE including your lungs. lol you'll get multicoloured boogers. I would never paint my bed room (or any other room) with spray paint. Use liquid paint and a brush.
