Just came from London Futureshop and they have the 50" Panasonic TH50PZ77 on sale for $1999!!! All I could do to keep away. NOT on futureshop.ca, your milage may vary. Try PM at BB for 1939 (currently 2599), again NOT on the futureshop site at all.

Went to a local FS in mtl (st dorothee). The 50px77 was marked 2599 and was the same price in FS' system (i asked a rep to check) I did however notice that the 50px77 (720p version) was 1999$

Tickyboy: is it possible you saw the px77? If not, maybe that deal is only available in that specific store.. The 50pz77 was available as a boxing week price of 1999$ at dumoulin. The price of 2k is possible, but unlikely.

And the 50px77 (a great set in its own right) can be had for as low as $1699 so $1999 is not a good price, either. I am sure this 1080p set will be there by year's end, though - I am waiting and ready to pounce when it does :twisted:

Unfortunately, that's what happened... it's the PX77... I saw the 77, I saw the wider bezel, missed the 'X'. Went back a day later and it was $1899... dont know what the differences are between this and the PX75, which looks pretty good. Sorry all!!

They had the 50PX75 last week for $1699 which was a good deal for those who haven't fallen for the 1080p hype. Looks like its up to $1799 this week but I think most stores would honour the 1699 if you asked.

Damn I wish this was advertised so I could claim the PM using my Citibank Enrich price protection insurance policy since I bought the same TV in December for $2249.
