Hello all,

I'm interesting in a good quality leather jacket, I've been to the Leather Ranch here in Victoria and they seem to have only quality items which is what I'm after. Too many bad quality leather products out there made by slave labor etc. In any case being that a decent one costs in the $400-$600 range, will I really be wearing it often enough to justify that sort of investment?

Also, is it the usual retail environment where the margin is 40-50%, if so would it seem reasonable if I ask 20% off the regular price (ie non sale item) ?

Any thoughts, experiences would be appreciated

Danier outlet semi annual sale has nice ones for 100-200 in many many styles w/ good convinience.

Or get something like this:http://www.yoox.com/item/YOOX/PRADA/tskay/5B7C71F8/rr/1/cod10/590038581X/areaid/35/sts/searchResult

if you want to spend more. I would be all over those but I already have too many leather jackets...

I'm looking for something in my town, I would never make this sort of investment without being able to wear it first. I was specifically interested in Leather Ranch - are there none of you who have purchased there or similar caliber of store?

What's a reasonable discount off regular priced jackets?
