Good quality -- minimum vs2 diamonds and very reasonably priced.

Got mine from www.sunjewelry.com, they're in California and PA.. No problems shipping to Canada, and they'll accept Canadian credit cards.

You should ask colleagues, friends, family if they know anyone in the industry.
You'll generally get a better price then if you were go to an overpriced boutique in a mall.

Personally i'd prefer to get the diamond and then have it made the way i'd like it which is what they do there, but everyone has there own preferences so she may like it already on the band.
