RAM config question

Hello everyone, on a dual channel board with 4 slots, what would be the difference using 4GBs of the exact same brand/speed of RAM, but 4x1GB sticks vs 2 x 2GB sticks?

Any distinct advantages one way or another?

There might be a difference .. but you'll never notice. I would go the cheapest route (though as of late there isn't much of a difference).
