I've made many phone calls in the past year from the Ontario Physician Search (http://www.cpso.on.ca/default.htm) website and wasn't able to find one for my LO who is now almost 1-yr-old. All doctors said they are not accepting new patient although the website says yes.

My LO has been seeing my family doctor, while she is not really bad, but I find her not very organized (ie, not very sure what vaccine to give at which month unless I remind her) and not sure what medicine a breastfeeding mom can take etc etc.

I have also seen one pediatrician who is very old (likely 64+) and never went back. But he is the only one that is accepting new patient. That time I brought my LO to see him because she has rash all over her body and he said "I can hardly see the rash"!

I don't really want to ask my family doctor about pediatrician ... but I do want to find a pediatrician (a bonus if near Dundas/Mavis area) that will be more knowledgeable in treating young patients. Anyone can shed some lights on this if you are currently using one? How did you get the pediatrician to accept your LO? Thanks in advance.
