For sale is an Averatec 3250 notebook computer. The specs are as follows:
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2200
512 MB RAM, 60 GB hard drive
12" XGA screen, clear and bright
Combination CD-RW and DVD-ROM drive (works fine)
Networking: wired Ethernet, modem port and 802.11G wireless
Expansion ports: three USB, one PC card, one VGA, headphone and microphone jacks
Weight: under 5 lbs
Comes with Averatec AC adapter, original box and documentation
The computer will come with a fresh install of Windows XP Home but also runs Ubuntu Linux "Gutsy Gibbon" just fine (even wireless, after a minor tweak). The machine has some minor scuffs on the top cover from use. All features work perfectly (with the exception of the battery, which only holds about a 15-minute charge). 512 MB of RAM means that this computer is more than able to run Microsoft Office or Open Office, web, e-mail, and even Photoshop.
