Unlimited call North America with nine features and up to 5M DSL service (no cap) for $69.95 or $59.95 for a year contract. Sounds a sweet deal. Not to mention the airmiles collection.

However, there's a $60 cancellation fee within a year that drove me off. Besides some horrible stories about their technical support team, don't want to stuck with a year contract or $60 fee.

Would like to know if their phone is VOIP or POTS. How's the reliability of the DSL service etc..

Thanks.

If you are refering to their TalkBroadband service, it is VoIP. Their DSL service is average. Not the best, but certainly not the worse either.

Seems like nobody actually tried it?

I have Primus phone + DSL Internet.

Let's just say, internet is alright, but at times it can disconnect and act weird for an hour or 2. (Not often though - once a month?)

But their phone line is below average, not stable at times.

i have the primus phone+dsl + ld

i got the basic phone line without all the fancy stuff and high speed internet + basic long distance. it's really cheap since i'm paying less now for phone and internet than i was paying for internet alone before.

the phone service is fine i don't really notice any difference between them and bell.

the internet is pretty good too. no slowdowns, no throttling and no caps. i'm on the 5Mb profile and while it was acting up in november for a couple of days, it's been fine and running great these last few months.

i'd take it especially if you can get a good price on it.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like the Internet is not that reliable. Down for few days is ridiculous. Couple of hours is OK.

it wasn't down it was just acting up.
ie. it would be real slow and would disconnect randomly.

called them up, they did something, called me back and asked me to do a speedtest and well things were faster than before. so i can't really hold them to fault since they fixed things for me.

anyways i'm ready to switch to teksaavy whenever the quality of the connection goes south again. it hasn't happened yet..
