So did I, but according to RedMosquito, no Eneloops this sale.

:(

As an alternative, try Walmart. I just got Energizer 4xAA 2000mAh (made in Japan) with charger for $26 something. These are rebranded Eneloops. As a warning, they have batteries that are made in China and Japan. The made in Japan ones are Eneloops, and the made in China are unknown to me. They say the country of manufacture directly on the battery. The back of the package says China though, so go by the battery. They also say "Stays charged longer recharge less," and are "Pre-charged."

Mostly useless....but I did grab that switch. Can't go wrong for $10. Looks to be fairly small too, will work great for work. Pain in the butt to always try and track down a hub/switch for the boardroom meeting to share the single port.

I've had this problem before; I think it was caused by some sort of ad-blocking proxy.

Go to the main Dell site. There should be a link on the lower right hand side that says 'Home & Home Office' under a 'Solutions for:' heading. Clicking it will bring you to the Home & Home Office section of the site. There should be a rotating banner there that will bring you to the Days of Deals.

Actually some people do. Since it does the 1 job its designed to do and does it well. I have given up on trying to use integrated recorders in cellphones/pda's etc. They don't work well, have little or no flexibility and honestly, if you are in the field where you require one of these things; they are essential.

The sony voice recorder deal seems pretty decent actually. The ones at FS are so expensive.

The laptop is like 4 years old. It won't boot at all now. I am surprised it lasted this long considering the number of times I have smacked it on the floor.

BTW: Unit is tiny, even smaller than the Linksys voip box. Auto detects x-over cables; nice to not have to worry if cable is straight or x-over.

Did local pickup from Burnaby store for 6 bucks + tax. Long ways from the frozen tundra of Ottawa to Burnaby. Dell's $10 w free s/h seems fair enough provided they ship right away.

BTW: Unit is tiny, even smaller than the Linksys voip box. Auto detects x-over cables; nice to not have to worry if cable is straight or x-over.

Thanks!
Ordered 1 :D
Hopefully it doesn't blow up like my D-Link Router I was using as a switch :(

He has got the inside connection and I apologize for any doubt I had with regards to his connections.

Candor is another issue... Im assuming we are all adults and don't need to play games. We don't need to beg for the info he has nor should he hold it like a carrot on a string.

Yes...he has the connection and no, he has no class to play as he does. Maybe one would just expect that RFD members can assist one another without expecting the accolades in return...

If it makes ya feel better Red...I bow to thee lol.

Agreed.
Ever heard of "Jack of all trades, master of none"?

I haven't heard much about the quality of Sony voice recorders. For the same price, I 'd get the Olympus VN-4100PC from Best Buy instead.

Ordered the switch. For $10.. not much to lose.

Hopefully this will work for my needs. I have a Ethernet over Power Line adapter in my living room that currently feeds my Slingbox. I want to hook the ethernet into the switch, then one cable to my SLingbox, one to my HD-DVD player and one to my PC I use as a Juke boX ( currently connected to router with wireless ethernet card ).

Every geek worth his salt and with a house full of computers
should be snapping up one or 2 of those Freedom9 switches.
For ten bucks shipped to your house it's a screaming steal.:!:

It's for connecting computers and other network devices together. You might already have a router with 4 ports on it, this devices has 5 ports but it has no router functionality. If your router's ports fill up, you can connect a switch to it to add 4 extra ports to your network.
