You might want to correct the headline.

If you look at the bottom of the description of the Sony, you'll see that there is also a bundle with the 46" at $1999.98. So the OP is correct.

However, the ad says "Weekend Only" and the date starts Jan. 4.

I can confirm this deal. I bought it on 4th. But it is OOS everywhere. You would expect it to be delivered in Feb.

Futureshop had the KDL46W3000 bundled with the DAVHDX466 for 1999 for their Boxing Day Week long sale. They still had stock at the end of the week.

KDL46W3000 is a lot nicer tv than the 46V3000. You can notice the difference when they are side by side.

i got this set at sears

the bay is dumb.. i went there showed the sales rep the flyer. and he says its been sold out since christmas.. he doesn't know why they put it in there.

so i went to sears. showed them the flyer..the pm'd right away..no call or anything..(love sears)

got the whole set..

i was like i don't reallllyyy need the speaker set..but he would only take like 100 off the price ( i guess that's what htib's are worth)

neways setup the speakers...

used $1 speaker stands from zellers (a while back) for the rear speakers..and front two have a stand already

went to sears home to get the dorel $99 stand.

rogers is coming tomorrow to hook up the hd..and then i'll be good to go

LOVE the tv btw.. first lcd really so i have nothing to compare to..but playing rockband on my 360 + the speaker system + 46 sony bravia is definately awesome + 3

I bought this setup during the FS Boxing day sale for $1999. The 46W3000 is fantastic. I would rate the DAVHD466 as below average for audio quality and above average for convenience and aesthetics. A key feature missing from the DAVHD466 is a digital input for external audio. I can't hook up digital audio for my xbox360 or BR player. The sound is hollow and the sub is a little boomy. The upside is that everything is in one component and it does have compact speakers together making the whole setup look clean.

can anyone post the differences between S/V/W3000 series?

Basically, you have:

S - 720p
V - 1080/24p support
W - Picture freeze, Backlit remote, 3 HDMI ports (versus 2 for the V), higher contrast (2000:1 versus 1800:1 on screen), expanded color space feature of HDMI 1.3

spoke to someone at the bay today and they said they could give the same deal before thursday... unfortunately, the tv isn't available for pickup/delivery until feb 10... i still think this is a decent deal for a damn good tv...
