LF: 50" TV - $1200 and under

During the boxing week sales, I saw a 50" Norcent plasma TV for $1200 at Best Buy and Futureshop. Unfortunately, they were sold out and I couldn't get one. I'm still looking for a similar deal. I'm willing to look at any brand name and any type of TV but I would obviously prefer a plasma or flat LCD. Thanks for the help.

Is it unrealistic to expect to get a deal like this outside of a big sale such as Boxing Day?

if your willing to go for lame brands and less than ideal specs you should be able to find this. Also keep an eye out for DLPs and last year's models being cleared out soon

you don't want a big low quality tv, you'll regret it
either buy a smaller one or get a projection like:

BB every couple weeks puts the samsung hlt5076 down to $1299.... it's a DLP but it sure looks awesome IMO...
