I promised my sister a Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas this year, except I started my shopping a bit late, so I couldn't pick it up for Christmas due to it being out of stock everywhere. It's now 2 weeks past Christmas and everywhere in Toronto I check they are completely sold out still. Preferably she wants a pink one, but at this point she'll settle with any colour I get as long as I can get it!!

Non-popular spots that you might be lucky with are HMV, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rogers Video, Blockbuster Video, etc...

Not looking hard enough? Ok here's the places Iv'e been so far..
All the Best Buys in Toronto, all the Future Shops in Toronto, all the Source's in Toronto, 3 Different Walmarts, 2 ToysRus stores, Sears, 2 Blockbusters, and 1 shoppers drugmart. I'm gonna try Rogers Video today but I highly doubt it.
A deal for me right now is regular price, just because it's so damn rare to find right now.

Go to Shoppers Drug Mart today! Its 20X point day although i can't recall the exact amount but if you buy the DS at shoppers today and use your optimum card you will get a considerable about of shoppers point back. You can then get something else for your sister cause you were late. :-)

I called every single shoppers drugmart in the Toronto area today, finally I thought I found one that had a Nintendo DS in stock. Apperantly the bloor west village store had 2 left. I'm a 10 minute drive from there, so I tell them I'll be right over. So I get there, ask for a DS. They tell me they have none. I say I just called, and was told you had two. Thay say nope, that was a mistake, we never had any. I'm like thank you so much for wasting my time to drive down here, and the worst part was I took my little sister with me to buy it! Lots of disapointment. Today I also received a superstore flyer in the mail, has the DS listed for a good price too, xcept NONE of there stores have stock. I also tried EB games today, they have none, and was told all the other eb games stores have none, and he has no idea when they will get any.
Instead I think I'm just gonna buy her a few games to use with my xbox 360 as this is getting ridiculous.

Yes shoppers is the WORST! They have been advertising DS for the longest time and I called I think almost every store around GTA and received the same reply. "Oh we don't have them in stock, actually it has been sold out for a long time and we don't plan on getting any back anytime soon" Last time I checked was a week before christmas and I was pi$$ed to see them advertise it AGAIN in their flyers this week.
Sorry about not being able to find it for your sister. Here's one for a reasonable price:

Anyone looking for a DS I suggest going to a HMV store. Decided to go over to the one in Woodbridge and sitting there was a DS Lite Crimson! Glad I found one....now only if it was that simple finding a Wii!
