How long do you think it'll take me to finish the CSC assuming i study for 1 hour a day?
Keep in mind i have no economics/business/securities background.

I recently completed the CSC. I did the stupid and lazy practise of reading the book once the night before the exams. I got lucky and passed with a low 60 on both exams. Some of the questions require very detailed knowledge from the text. I'd imagine a person having no problem with the test if they went over the book multiple times. If you have no prior experience with finance, accounting (minimal is more than enough), and economics I would imagine it would take 2-3 weeks to study and become well versed with the material of one book. If you do have a finance background it should takes 1 1/2 - 2 weeks to study all the material of one book just to be safe.

It shouldn't take too long. I know some people take a whole 5 months to study for it, but if you're dedicated and committed enough, it should take you less than a month.

I just finished the second exam.
Depends on how quickly you can go through the text... With 1 hr/day, I think a month or two should be more than sufficient.

if you have economics/business/securities background....then i would suggest you to read the book twice, then do the online practice questions and understand them.......if you can get 70% on your first try on the practice questions, then i think you can pass the exams

I signed up for the CSC just before Christmas, wrote the first exam on Monday, and got 90% on it. I work full-time, but I did have some more free time during the holidays for extra study.
I recommend that you read the text and make good notes for yourself. The practice questions online are a good start, and you should be getting 80-90% on those, because the exam questions are definitely harder.
You do have to get through the exam questions at a good pace. I didn't have the time to check my answers.

just curious, wt does a person with an economic degree and csc can land himself into what jobs??
I personally believe that an economic degree can get no where unless the person have another degree in like finance/accounting or commerce???
