 Hi all,
I have a group of 10 celebrating my 30th in late Feb. Our three criteria for the celebrations are: 1) must be memorable, 2) under $20/person, and 3) accessible by TTC/bus. Please share your ideas, especially if you had a memorable time at a b-day party.
Here are the ideas we've come up with so far:
:| -Paintball/lazer tag (anyone know of any place accessible by TTC?)
:-0 -Karaoke (anyone know of any clean places with private rooms downtown-ish?)
 -Bus to Casino Niagara and party overnight at a motel
:cheesygri -Bowling party
 -Raptors game
 -Renting a private room in a restaurant for dinner and board games afterwards (anyone know of any good&cheap mom/pop place near TTC downtown-ish that will let us do this?)
:) -Home party themes: poker, vicars and tarts, pimps and hos
*:(* Good but vetoed ideas due to price or desire to avoid public humiliation: rock climbing, swimming, skating, 80s theme party.

Even bowling sounds inexpensive, but after you total up shoe rental, a few games, food and beverages - you're getting up there.
We had a friend's (surprise) 30th party at another friend's house some years ago; lots of space, people and delicious homemade food. Also got a big poker game going; a little cliche, but we were big poker players long before it hit mainstream popularity.

i think some of these things can be done for less than $20pp.
For example: Bowling.
See http://www.playtimebowl.com/specials.html
$8 to bowl, $1 shoes, $1 pop, $1 hot dog.
That will definately be under $20.

i would say a house party.............$200 should be able to get you some booze and food and you can play strip poker, naked twister etc.

Re: Raptors game.
$12.39 for cheap seats. $2.50 convenience charge. Canada Post mailing free.
That's $14.89.
Plus a beer, and that'll be $20.

Let's do the math people!
10 person x $20 max = $200.00
Can you get a stripper on John Street and do a private dance at your house for the night?
That's certainly more entertaining and memorable. How often do you turn 30?

What's a key party?
Correct me if I'm wrong - but everyone puts a key in a bowl, and then people select a key and that's who they get to do.

but what happens if a guy selects another guy's keys? ............not that there is anything wrong with it if you like it...
I think a key party is where guys are given keys and girls are given locks. If your key fits into the girls lock, then you get to do each other......
