bwned is what I write instead of pwned
Also take notice that there is a distinct difference in the nature of the first letter in each "word"
--> pwned
--> bwned

it's just own with a p sound before so pone is the most correct way to say it. theres no debating how it's pronounced. the is just a misspelling of own that turned into a craze.
for some odd reason every girl i know thinks it's pawn, where in the heck did you get an a from...stupid girls.
uhhh why no option for 'own'
?
that is the implied word for pwn, but it's not the way to say it. it's just turned into a word of it's own and you don't say it as own anymore
basically pwn means owned more than own

its obviously supposed to be pone, because it originated from the word own. But people can say it whatever way they feel like it, no difference to me. I say pone

too bad you're a noob because you would know that running with a scout makes you run faster than with a knife...yea it always bothered me, i always found that video to be pretty funny but always though it was likely made by UBER NOOBS (yea i had to use some of my 1337 cs talk) cause running with a scout is a lot faster than running with a knife. and they way that they were playing was really bad too

I alternate depending on circumstances, but here's my logic:
1. The only english word that I know that has those letters in that order is "pawn", thus the third option.
2. Since it's rooted in the word "owned", sometimes I say "pa-owned", which if you say fast, becomes "poned".
There are few words in our language that are textual only - that is to say not used in verbal language. The internet is bringing about those types of words (ie. pwn3d) which is unique to linguistic experts.

so your a pawn guy :razz:
But yes, it is pwn, because you have to look at the origin. Too many ppl typed fast and instead of o for own, they would press p so it would be spelled pwn, which rhymes with own, so thats why its pronounced pone
Electricute
Jan 10th, 2008, 11:06 AM
its pronounced owned. just stupid ppl with fat figures mistyped owned cause p and o close together, and just played it off.

The word is only meant to be typed, not said.
On the off chance it is said or read out loud it should be own.
