Well damn it I bought this microsoft points card (1500) for 22 at eb games so I could download the original halo to my 360's harddrive. Well I got home and used a penny to scratch off the scratch-off part and it completely removed the letters. Kinda lame and now I doubt I can do anything about it.

I called 1800 4my xbox of course they couldn't help. I'm going to see if I can exchange it today or tomorrow for another. I didn't reveal the other half and so really they've gained 22 bucks from me and I have nothing to show for it.

Does anyone think I can/have a good line of reasoning for me on this one?

Thanks!

they wont do anything either I bet, it would be like having a phone card already scratched, how do they know u didn't use it then scratch harder to make it look like that

Good luck though

Well, I don't think they will take it back.

Anyways, let me put the pic up for you

that sucks....try calling again....in my opinion i think that microsoft should ask you to mail it in or something to prove what you said and mail you a new one....but doubt they would do that....

It's kinda hard to see in your pic, but are those the top parts of the numbers that did not scratch off? If so, I'm sure you can figure them out by process of elimination.

No the visible characters there are just the top half of the word 'subscription' with maybe a letter on either side of the scratched part. Thats around what 11-12 unknown characters and like 13 unrevealed? Why is that hard to exchange?

Anyways I'm going today to exchange/return it. Wish me luck.

As long as you leave the remaining numbers unscratched, you should be fine.

There's no way to scam if you don't have the full number, right? ;)

Oh - and be polite at customer service. You'll have a higher chance of success than getting mad. If the CSR says no dice, politely ask for the manager. If the manager says no dice, then freakout and throw fists.
