Just completed an interview today, three directors interviewed me together we talked about 1 hr and 20 mins. HR just booked one hour for me, when the interview was over, I just had 40 mins to get to airport. One interviewer asked me the programming and coding skills during the interview., I told him I did not do much programming and coding work in my current job, then he stopped asking these questions. At the end of the interview, this director said he wanted to let me know that I would have pretty much time to work with computer such as programming ,coding in this role, he thought he need to tell me this. What does this mean? does it mean he reject me because of my weak programming skills.
But this job is not an IT job?

No point posting this here unless you are asking us for other job opportunities. Its up to the employers, and i am sad to say that no opinion from RFDers will change their decision.

I think the perception of IT is just just so broad amongst companies, you have coders/techs/web design/ ALL in IT, you can't call it that, it is not fair to the people involved. Companies have to better understand that IT is a broad field, and once they start nailing specifics for jobs, they'll get a better understanding of what they want.
Note: HR knows nothing about IT, they are just pencil pushers.

It's tough to tell, but it seems he said to you that the role involves a lot of coding and programming, correct? If so, it's unlikely you'll have the job unless there is a shortage of other qualified candidates.
