If you fly out of Detroit, you should be able to find something (direct) for under $300 per person. Try Northwest or US Airways.

Car would probably be the cheapest way to do it. The drive down there isn't too bad. Take you about 8 hours. Probably about the same time it would take to drive down and fly out of detroit.

btw Both Pennsylvania and New Jersey have 0% sales tax on clothes. Do some outlet shopping on your way home.

Taking a quick look at expedia.ca YYZ to PHL is $421 w/ Northwest Airlines connect in detroit

or

Detroit US airways round trip taxes in DTW (detroit) to PHL $292 with US airways.

Delaware has 0% sales tax on everything. My sister lives in Philly and makes all of her big purchases (furniture, etc.) from Delaware.

You can try YYZ to EWR then take the NJTransit (www.njtransit.com)Train to Trenton, then Transfer to the SEPTA (www.septa.org)train that will take you to Philly.
