I've checked orbitz, hotels.ca, travelocity and expedia, all of them pretty much bring up the same stuff....
I'm using tripadvisor for ratings and pictures.
I can't seem to find a decent hotel with free parking, anything for under $200 is old and in shady areas such as BH Terrace, I was going to go with Sofitel but it only has valet parking for like $29 which is insane.
Any suggestions of places or search tips/sites?

I've gotten some decent rooms by going to http://www.biddingfortravel.com , reviewing the FAQ's, and then making a priceline.com bid.
For instance, spending a week in San Francisco next week at a "4 star" hotel for $50/night.
Yes, you are rolling the dice, and yeah, the hotels don't tend to be the absolutely top-notch -- but when you just need a place to crash at LAX after spending the past 15 hours on a plane...$50 for a room ain't bad at all.

Well you have to pay (http://www.beverlycenter.com/infodesk/customerServices.html) to park there.
But you can get some coupons (http://www.beverlycenter.com/infodesk/visitors/114.html).
I would just mentally budget $30 for parking when bidding on Priceline.
I think the Elan Hotel Modern charges $15 per night for parking but it might not be under $200 per night.

California is a pretty big State and I am very sure, no I am positive, that there are hotels for less than $200.
If you narrow it down a touch....maybe someone could suggest places in the surrounding area of where you want to be (unless it is another State). :cheesygri

Yes, even if you are in LA area, if you go down the coast a little to the Orange County area, there are several hotels that are < $200 per night.
For Example the Courtyard Cypress/Anahiem is about $159 a night and includes parking, breakfast would be approximately $10 at this hotel.
