That was itravel2000.com. I recall reading an article on CBC.

http://www.itravel2000.com/lis_snowreport.aspx

Looks like Montreal has a good chance. Halifax, Toronto and Calgary not so good.

It's 5" of snow, not cm. I'm sure Toronto already passed the 5cm point.

I think it was 5" of snow to get free trip.
I don't think we got 5" in Toronto.
itravel2000 probably bought some insurance for this anyway, and so no loss for them either way - just a pretty good marketing gimmick.

yup heard it again today.
The Itravel guy said that they will use the airport in each city for the measurements.
5" of snow or more and trips are free.
they get Environment Canada, to do the snow measurements,
which must be verified by a second party because of the amount of money involved.

toronto - pearson
calgary
quebec
halifax

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU

12.7mm was needed. Looks like Quebec travellers got a free trip with EC reporting 14.8mm. :cheesygri

Sorry Toronto. You were 2.5mm too short.

:arrowu: It was on the Canada AM news this morning. The phones are ringing off the hook for those that chose Montreal departures. Lucky folks. Good on em, glad to hear some folks cashed in.
I do remember lots of this type of promo but this is the first one I heard of where the company actually had to make good. Are there any others anyone can remember?
