Does any of the local travel agencies in the GTA offer bus service to MGM Grand Casino in Detroit? Something similar to the bus services to Niagara or Rama.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well there is regular bus service from Toronto to Detroit. After doing some googling it seems the bus terminal is a stones throw from the bus terminal

The Casino is about a 1/4 mile away and a walk will do you good after being on a bus all night.

thing is that bus to detroit takes 5 hours and 45 minutes with border crossing time and its not subsidized like the bus to niagara or rama.

Perhaps check out Seneca Niagara and catch the coachcanada casino bus service?

Thanks for the reply.

I read those posts on that link you provided already. Like the OP, I'm a bit concerned arriving at the bus terminal at 6am and no where to go. I was really hoping to find a casino bus from Toronto to Detroit with more favourable arrival time.

I guess Greyhound is my only option.

you should start the detroit tourist advisory board :p

in terms of the arrival time there are a number of other buses that involve a switch in windsor or london.

I recall another member mentioning there is a train that runs across the border. Not like Via Rail or anything just a small shuttle. May be faster to take that then to wait for a bus to cross the border. While its pretty much seemless for any Canadian or US citizen with proper ID, foreigners do slow things down.

I was able to find the Tunnel shuttle bus from Windsor to downtown Detroit. The service is quite frequent, so not a problem there. Unfortunately, I can't find any Casino Windsor tour bus from Toronto. I guess all the local bus tour companies stopped their service after the openning of Fallsview & Rama.

It looks like I'm stuck with Greyhound and the 6am arrival time.
