So I'm going to Los Angeles tomorrow, what places should I check out? I got these places in mind:
-Santa Monica beach/Santa Monica Pier
-Sunset Strip
-Walt Disney Concert Hall
-Venice Beach
-Hollywood/Hollywood Sign (Maybe)
-Beverly Hills
-Little Tokyo
It sucks that I won't be able to use a car in Los Angeles, but hopefully the public transport isn't AS bad as people say it is.
Nobody ever mentions Compton, how is that place?

Go to Compton if you want to experience an honest-to-goodness drive-by shooting! Remember to duck to avoid the gunfire!

Make sure you take plenty of pictures in Compton. Ask the local corner boys to take a picture of you with your loved one!

It's a lot like Disneyland.

It is as bad as everyone says it is. Do yourself a favor and rent a car.

LOL.
Good luck in LA without a car. You will hate the city because of it.

It wasn't too bad without a car. I was able to go to most of the places I wanted to see, just the Getty Museum I couldn't cause it's out of reach by bus. And yes, Compton is a LOT worse than the media portrays it. First day in LA, I stopped by Compton metro station. A fight was already happening.
