Hi
I live in Toronto but got booked for speeding 30 over in wasaga beach. But officer was being nice and wrote 14 in the ticket. But I can't afford to see an increase in my insurance. So I fought the ticket. So now the city of barrie mailed me this "early resolution appointment notice". Is it worth it going there? I fought the ticket cuz I wanted get away(hope the cop doesn't show up)

In your case, no. They will not discard a speeding ticket at the early appearance meeting -- they will only offer you a deal, which means you would need to plead guilty to the lesser charge (and have a conviction, no matter how small it is). A speeding ticket of 1km/hr is the same as 30km/hr to an insurance company, so your only chance of your insurance company not seeing the ticket is to fight in court and get it dismissed.
