I was caught making a left turn at a street where there was a sign stating no left turns. I did not see this sign and I understand my fault. However, the bad part is that I only have a G1 and I was also carrying a passenger who did not have a license. This was about around 3:00am in the morning on a regular street. Upon checking my license it was discovered that my license was also Suspended. I had no idea about this and I've never received a ticket for anything else in my life, I have a clean record (but apparently that's not the case) I was very calm, polite and followed the police officers instructions. I received 4 direct to court yellow tickets from the police officers. One is for disobeying a no left turn sign, second driving with a G1 licence carrying a passenger, third G1 driver unaccompnied by qualified driver and fourth driving with a suspended licence. I have been given a court date and I will attend. But I was hoping if you could give me any advice on what I should do. What do you think the charges will be? Will I loose my licence for a long time? How much in fines do you think i'll end up paying?
I know that it was a careless move on my part, but lesson learned.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Running the sign will be the least of your worries.
Your major concerns
1)Driving after 12:00 am with a g1.
2)Having a passenger in you car.If they had a drivers license it would be better but they don't you will pay for that move.
3)Driving with a susp license.Out of the 3 this is your worst probleam.
Driving with out a susp license will get you 45 days. You ad the other 2 tack on another couple months thats at your very best.At the very worst they could take your license away fro 24 months.
